Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
This policy covers all browser extensions and services published by Vividnest. Some features operate entirely on your device. Others — particularly premium and cross-device features — may involve data being transmitted to our servers. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we handle it.
Overview
Vividnest builds browser extensions and tools designed to be both powerful and transparent. We only collect data when it's necessary to provide a feature — and we never sell or share your data with third parties for advertising purposes.
As our products grow to include premium features, cross-device sync, and companion apps, some data handling will evolve. This policy will be updated to reflect those changes.
What We Collect
Depending on which features or extensions you use, we may collect the following:
- Extension settings and preferences (stored locally on your device by default)
- Account information such as email address, if an account is created
- Usage data required to power cross-device or sync features
- Technical information such as extension version and browser type, for support purposes
We do not collect your browsing history, passwords, or any data unrelated to the functionality of our extensions.
How We Use Your Data
Any data we collect is used solely to:
- Deliver and improve the features you've chosen to use
- Sync settings or controls across devices when you opt in
- Manage your subscription or account if applicable
- Respond to support requests
We do not look through your personal data, sell it, or share it with advertisers or third parties.
Local Storage
For features that don't require server communication, your data is stored locally on your device using the browser's built-in storage API. This data never leaves your device unless you opt into a feature that requires it.
Permissions
Our extensions request only the permissions required for their features to function. Each permission is used solely for its stated purpose. You can review permissions on each extension's store listing — Chrome Web Store for Chromium-based browsers, and Firefox Add-ons for Firefox.
Third Parties
We do not share your data with third parties for advertising or tracking purposes. If a premium feature requires a third-party service (such as payment processing), only the minimum necessary data is shared and that service's own privacy policy will apply.
Data Retention
Local data can be deleted at any time by uninstalling the extension. If you have an account, you may request deletion of your account data by contacting us.
Children's Privacy
Our extensions are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
As Vividnest grows and new features are introduced, this policy will be updated. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our extensions after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
